Behind declines for shares of Microsoft and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Friday afternoon. The Dow
was most recently trading 104 points lower (-0.4%), as shares of Microsoft
are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Microsoft’s shares have dropped $3.40, or 1.6%, while those of Chevron are down $1.36 (1.6%), combining for an approximately 33-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Intel
and Apple Inc.
A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.86-point swing.
