WASHINGTON/REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump will meet on Wednesday on the White Home on Biden’s invitation, a White Home spokesperson mentioned on Saturday.
Trump will take workplace on Jan. 20 after defeating present Vice President Kamala Harris within the Nov. 5 presidential election.
“At President Biden’s invitation, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet within the Oval Workplace on Wednesday,” Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mentioned in a press release.
Biden, a Democrat, had initially sought reelection however dropped out of the race in July after a disastrous debate in opposition to the Republican Trump.
“I’ll see him on Wednesday,” Biden informed reporters on Saturday, when requested whether or not Trump was a menace to democracy.
Biden spoke after leaving a church service in Rehoboth Seaside, Delaware, the place he traveled for the weekend. The president didn’t reply to questions on what he would say to Trump.
