BEIJING (Reuters) – Xi Jinping protected a precedent-breaking 3rd five-year term on Friday as China’s head of state, a mostly ritualistic function, as he tightens his hold as the nation’s most effective leader because Mao Zedong.
Virtually 3,000 participants of China’s rubber-stamp parliament, the National Individuals’s Congress (NPC), elected all in the Great Hall of individuals for Xi, 69, to be head of state in a political election where there was nothing else prospect.
